Webb29 mars 2014 · I just got a pair of lights on ebay, mostly for the rear which is in fine working order. Price paid is more than satisfactory for the rear alone. The front, a Cateye HL-500 is working but a strip down reveals 25% or so of the "chrome" to be missing from the plastic reflector, effectively leaving transparentish areas. http://www.ashfordchroming.com/headlamp-reflector-re-silvering-restoration

Webb30 maj 2008 · Waqas --get yourself a handheld IR temp indicator; run your light and if you can, remove the front lens (or read from the back) and you can then tell what the internal temp is of the reflector. These little handheld devices are getting less costly all the time. I've seen them for about $35 on sale. WebbI posted a thread during July in connection with headlight reflectors. ...
