A lot of the time the software will search for the data and if it can't find it then it will ask you to enter the as built data. All of my experience is using a VCM2/3 with IDS software. I'm not sure how it works with other software and hardware. 2

WebSam, FORScan will allow for configuration of a module (writing asbuilt or global car configuration) but will not update the operating software (calibration update). I don't believe FORScan allows for configuration changes to PCM. Probably a good way to keep groups like C.A.R.B. from bothering them. WebDec 29, 2024 · Per the service manual its said to do a PMI from the BCM and reload back to the BCM. PMI is the same as an all read then write to the module in this case BCM. Also did a reset of the BCM but still no go. I was hoping I be able to do this and not take it to the dealer to use the IDS software. Can anyone shed some light on this one. FORScan is much more condensed and seemingly more intuitive.
